16 Days of Activism 2022

About 16 Days of Activism

16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign that runs from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) until 6 December (Human Rights Day). It is a global initiative to address gender inequality and to end violence against women and children.

This year we will again be marking the start of 16 Days of Activism by joining the Warrnambool Walk Against Family Violence at 1:00Pm on Friday 25 November at The Orange Door in Warrnambool. We will  be stepping out in orange with thousands of people across Victoria to raise awareness and walk in solidarity with victim-survivors of family violence and violence against women and to send a message that violence is never OK.

We will be following this up with a Community Information Session on Monday 28 November at 3:00PM at the newly opened Warrnambool Library and Learning Hub located at South West TAFE, 8 Kepler Street. If you’ve ever wanted to know more about us – who we are, what we do and who we support come along for a light afternoon tea and a chat – RSVPs are essential on 5561 1934.
