2022 Annual General Meeting – Outcome of the Special Resolution

At the Emma House Annual General Meeting on 20 December, members voted on a Special Resolution that would enable the proposed merger with the Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SAFV) Centre to proceed.

The Board is very pleased to announce members voted to merge.

This represents a new era for Emma House, one that will be supported by the reputable SAFV Centre.

The Board thanks members for supporting Emma House and in particular this decision to ensure its legacy will live on.

We thanks the Emma House staff who have remained focused on providing support services to our clients and community during what has been a turbulent time for Emma House.

We also acknowledge the SAFV Centre for working closely with us over the years and more so in recent months as we prepared for this proposed merger.

The SAFV Centre will communicate with Emma House about future plans in time.

On behalf of the Board, I wish you all well and thank you for your support.

Gabrielle Toscan, Chair, Emma House
